Rationale: The Topic for our assignment was Town Hall and specifically promoting an event to help fund the earthquake strengthening of the building. Our idea was to host a live performance music event called 'Magnitude 7.1'. In terms of rhetoric approach, our event's touch points aim to encourage a 'coming together' through music. This call to action has been visually inspired by early eastern European design, through the use of rough-cut edges in shapes as seen in the piano keys and hands. The idea to follow a fairly torn-back style and colour palette enable us to present an easily legible narrative that all the while is compelling and engaging.

We have approached our event's aesthetic from a branding perspective with the idea that the consistent use of the orange and black theme as seen on all touch points, encourages brand awareness and recall. The motion graphic teaser video and poster serve as our first touch points. Both of these are to be used as forms of promotion and will aim to be present both online and in the city. Following this allows people to then travel onto our website and quite literally follow our narrative of viewing this event has a positive and communal way to rebuild the Town Hall. This action can be achieved through the website visitors voluntary donating and actively sharing and signing up to our event.

Exploring the ending scene. Using the black key to fall into place of the town hall and rhetorically fix it.
