1.1 - Matrix Development

For our homework, we were required to take home several matrix templates and refine or add activities that had been brainstormed in the class just gone. We were also required to produce at least one matrix for each of the categories. On the first image above, I looked at both pizza and beer locations in Wellington. These two food and drink ideas interest me and would work well when featured in a brochure due to the nice interior designs of the restaurants/bars and look of the food would hopefully result in some professional-looking images.
One the second image as seen above, I decided to try and be a little more original the previous two ideas. The first of these would be to focus the brochure on three 'hipster pubs/bars/cafes for a good drink and nice gram (Instagram/photo). Using this idea would be fun and engaging when designing and researching, as it is one a lot of young adults find interesting.
My final idea as of this moment would be to focus the brochure on 'unbeknown spots to buy lifestyle gifts'. What I mean by lifestyle shops, are those that sell useful and often everyday products, however, I would be focusing on businesses whose products are original, creative and most importantly, well made. From my research gathering for this idea I gladly came to learn that there are an awful lot of independent shops that fall under this category and many just by visiting during the week are tucked away and may actually not be getting the exposure they deserve.
