5.1 - Location Smaller Illustrations
I had previously been using original photographs to photograph the top corner of each location's double page spread however I am wanting to bring forward a much more illustrative approach. I want to do this, as I hope to successfully bring forward my clean stylistic approach and using this not only in the main 'poster' on each page but also on the other side of the double page spread will enable this consistency.
With these new illustrations, I aim to draw the product in use - whether this be at home, in the kitchen or at the office. Doing something like this will enable the reader of the brochure to relate the product to their life and how they or the person they are gifting to, would use the product.
The area in which these new illustrations are to be located can be seen in the space that has been 'scribbled out'.
My inspiration for this approach has been strongly influenced by Japanese graphic designer - Yunosuke. Yunosuke is a designer I have been following on Instagram and on his personal website for a while now. I like this designer's style as it is not too dissimilar from mine, in the way it uses clean, computer-generated lines to show the outline of objects, as well as using lines to show texture, depth and shadows.
